Las Vegas Market Report
I'm excited to report back on some great finds and trends from my visit to the Summer Las Vegas market from July 29 through August 1! Always on the lookout for new product for my clients, there was a stunning array of fabulous furniture, accessories, and floor coverings.
Tone-on-tone and bold patterned rugs
Rugs, it would seem, are going in the opposite ends of the spectrum, from very subtle tone-on-tone patterns to really bold, bright, and colorful creations. The advances in digital pattern-making is allowing for some very eye-catching designs in both large and small scales. These two from Feizy are just a sample of a huge range of styles.
Metallics and mirrored surfaces
The love affair with shiny objects has not abated, with more product being introduced that feeds the current obsession with brass, mirrors, and gold/silver leaf finishes in a wide array of styles. Clockwise from upper left, Bungalow 5, Regina Andrews, Handley Drive, and Bungalow 5.
Beachy boho is big
Lastly, bold hardware on simple designs, or very decorative motifs--inlaid, digitally printed, or laser cut--added to give pizazz for a more updated look was a theme in this summer's show. Clockwise from top left, Oly Studio, Bungalow 5, Handley Drive, and Currey & Co.
This, of course, is just a smattering of what I saw, but it was a great inspirational trip and resulted in terrific new resources for my clients. Oh, and did I mention I got to meet celebrity designer Thom Felicia? You may remember him from the original "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy". He was at the show promoting his new line for Vanguard. :-D
Hope you enjoyed this recap and would love to hear about your favorites!
