What an honor to win the Neiman Marcus 2012 Art of Fashion ASID Design Challenge! This event raised $1000 for the charity of the designer’s choice, selected by popular vote over the course of four days. I designed for a non-profit organization called Family Connections, which provides free pre-school and parenting classes for low income families on the SF Peninsula.
The challenge was to select one of several fashion trends identified by Neiman Marcus and create a “Trend Space” using only clothing and other merchandise found in the store. No outside furnishings or fabric could be used, with the exception of floral arrangements that could not exceed a $100 budget. This was great fun for a good cause.
